Park Facility Rentals

Columbia Falls has a wide array of park properties to enjoy, each with a unique set of facilities and terrain.  It is the mission of the City to provide a safe, clean environment within our park system for all to enjoy.

An Application for Special Use Permit must be completed and the appropriate user fee paid in order to reserve a City park.  If alcohol or bounce house use is planned, a special addendum is required. Reservations for all park use may be made with the City Hall receptionist during regular business hours.  Use must comply with all laws and regulations.  The City reserves the right to:

  •          Require any group to supply liability insurance depending on the risk level.
  •          Restrict or deny any park use.
  •          Determine if the cleaning deposit is returned.
  •          Require specific rules for use depending on group size and nature of use.
  •          Not refund the user fee if less than 48 hour notice of cancellation.

In order for groups of 25 or larger people to use City parks or recreation facilities, a special use permit must be issued.

Use of City parks by all groups is encouraged, however groups of 25 and up require the City to schedule additional staff time to take care of trash disposal; stock, clean and resupply restroom facilities and similar tasks.

The special use permit helps us understand what type of additional staff time will be required to prepare the park properly in order to make your event a success – without requiring you to clean bathrooms and empty trash receptacles.

You can obtain a special use permit form at City Hall, or you can download it below.
